Gabriela is a neuroscience graduate student who graduated with honors from Universidad Metropolitana, San Juan, Puerto Rico with a B.S. in Biomathematics. As an undergraduate student, Gabriela participated in two REU summer programs at Brandeis University and Boston University. During the last two years of her baccalaureate, Gabriela worked at a developmental neurobiology lab at University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, in which she studied the effect of bioelectrical phenomena in the regeneration of the holothurian intestine. Her current research interests include studying neural circuits and computational modeling.
