Mark received his Ph.D in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT in the lab of Ann Graybiel then conducted a postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University with Daniel Dombeck. His research has employed a variety of experimental approaches to investigate circuit mechanisms of movement control, goal-directed behavior, and learning in the basal ganglia of behaving rodents.
