Samme Xie
Research Technician
Samme joined the lab in the fall of 2025 as a research technician. She received her undergraduate degree in Physics and Biology from Emory University. As an undergraduate student, she worked in Dr. Dieter Jaeger’s lab studying the locomotion deficits and orofacial movement changes in a mouse model of Parkinson’s Disease. She is broadly interested in system and computational neuroscience. In the Howe Lab, she will investigate the dynamic roles played by direct and indirect pathways in the basal ganglia during locomotion and decision making. In her spare time, she likes to ride her bike around Boston, explore cute cafes, and play badminton.
